First Look: Messages That Moved Voters in PA and Across the United States

Creatives helped flip our home state — by reaching and persuading new Republican voters!

What an Election season, and year, it’s been for BlueStateRed. As you know, our political work is 100% focused on reaching and persuading the next generation of Republican voters. This Election, the dam broke — and the political class and national media finally caught onto what I’ve been saying since I started out in politics in 2016: the next generation of our movement for our country is multiracial, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious.

Our focus as a team is on creating and sharing uniquely powerful messages for the voters who are otherwise not hearing from us — including diverse, working voters outside the broad-based outreach that most campaigns do.

These voters turned out this Election, including in my home state of Pennsylvania, where I am proud to say that BlueStateRed messaging played a key role in flipping our state red — including what we believe was the margin in defeating do-nothing Democrat Senator Bob Casey, flipping the PA state Attorney General’s office, and a shock upset win in a working, diverse Northeast-Philly State Senate district.

Bottom line: The GOP coalition is expanding, and the messages we have spent years crafting for these voters are finally making the impact we have always imagined.

I want to share some of the innovative messages we created this cycle for working Hispanic, Jewish, black and other voters. Consider how many more states and districts we could win if we had more messages like these. The time is now for us to put these seats on the map, and BlueStateRed will be at the forefront!

Here are some of our team’s favorite campaigns and ads we’ve put together this cycle:

Albert: Multichannel Hispanic Outreach Helps Flip PA Red

For the third year in a row, BlueStateRed took the lead in reaching Hispanic voters across Pennsylvania, and once again ran the only statewide Hispanic voter messaging for our side — a huge accomplishment as the dam broke in places like Reading, Allentown and North Philadelphia, helping flip our state red and propel candidates up and down the ticket to victory.

First, I’ll share a very simple message that appealed to working Hispanic voters on their commutes in the Lehigh Valley (where we contributed to flipping the PA-07 Congressional District as well). This message, “Basta!” means “Enough!” and is cleverly overlaid with a cash-register font over a grocery store motif.

The message is as simple as it gets for the billboard: Enough! Vote Republican!
